Week 7 of my Health and Weight Loss Dairy and this week I’ve just keep on going.

You see both curing a chronic health condition and losing weight is more of a marathon than a sprint. As once you have figured out a winning formula it’s often a case of just having to be consistent.

Which is good for me because it means less thinking, brainstorming, researching and tearing my hair out.

But it’s kind of mind numbingly boring for you guys to read about of course.

Health and Weight Loss Diary

You can find all the details of why I started this diary right here. Curing my chronic health conditions is my main priority, particularly my IBS and leaky gut. While the weight loss is more of an added bonus, but nonetheless something I’ve been trying to achieve for a while!


Time for this week’s numerical stats:

(The first number was my week 6 stat and the second number is where I am now…)

Weight: 184.4 lbs –> 183.6 lbs

Bodyfat Percentage: 35.1% –> 35.2%

Right Arm: 12.5in –> 12in

Left Arm: 12.5in –> 12.5in

Chest: 41in –> 41in

Waist: 34.5in –> 34.5in

Hips: 44in –> 44in

Ass: 47in –> 47.5in

Right Thigh: 26in –> 25in

Left Thigh: 26in –> 25.5in


So that’s….

  • 0.8 pounds lost
  • 0.1% body fat percentage gained
  • 1.5 inches lost

I’m actually pretty pleased with these results considering we spent the weekend at a friends house drinking lots and not eating well at all!

I have been focused on reducing my calories by making a few simple swaps (like semi-skimmed milk instead of full fat) and I will be starting running again on Saturday, as for the past couple of weeks exercise has been lacking!


How have I been feeling?

Stomach wise mostly very good. I’ve had the odd unexplainable IBS flare ups but I’ve also been feeling super stressed thsi week for no obvious reason, so that could very easily be the trigger for the flare ups.

Stress is definitely something I need to work on but I find mediation impossible and other stress reduction techniques don’t seem to touch it! So if anyone has any great ideas please let me know…

I’ve also booked an appointment with an endocrinologist to get my hormones checked, but that’s a few weeks away!


All in all there isn’t much to say about this week, as it’s just been a case of being consistent with what’s already working!
